The incident that occurred in Sampit, Kotawaringin, East, Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan) immediately became a discussion among netizens. This moment was posted via the X account @NinzExe07.

Previously, there was a patient lying in the ambulance. Due to his condition, the patient must be immediately rushed to the hospital. There were two women accompanying him. At the same time, the police asked the ambulance to stop and let the president pass.

The driver then recorded the incident and uploaded the video to his X account. In the video, several residents can be seen gathering on the side of the road and covering the hospital door. In the upload, the driver can be heard complaining about the incident.

"There was a video that went viral during President Joko Widodo's visit on Wednesday 26 June 2024. In which I was carrying a patient who was in critical condition. And I panicked and spontaneously made the video with no other aim and purpose than so that I could get priority. on the way to the hospital," he said.

Apart from that, the driver named Muhammad Rizky expressed his apologies to the parties who were harmed by the video. At that time he actually brought a patient who was critical and needed immediate treatment. Therefore, he spontaneously asked for road priority.

"I personally apologize to all parties who felt aggrieved and uncomfortable with the video. Once again I apologize if my video can clarify the video I made which has gone viral," he concluded.

This incident has also been responded to by the presidential palace. Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, provided clarification and apology.

In his statement, it was stated that roads accessed by ambulances and fire trucks should not be blocked. What happened in the video appears to be due to miscommunication between the members on duty when the president's entourage passed by.

"In the field, the Presidential Adv Team always provides direction and information to the regional security team to implement the SOP," explained Yusuf.

"We apologize to the family and community for this incident and will always remember all levels of security," he added.
